Come as you are
and I’ll meet you there
Hi, I’m Emily.
I’m a therapist and a big feeler who shows up (fully, and without judgment) for the people I work with. My work is a combination of clinical knowledge, a dash of heart, a smidgeon of humor, and the occasional bad dad-joke. Somehow, that blend creates space to meet the parts of yourself that feel tired, protective, perfectionistic, or stuck… And with a little curiosity, you and I can start untangling the thoughts, patterns, and beliefs that have been running the show for far too long. Here’s something you should know about me: I don’t believe in fixing people, because you’re not broken. At the core of my work is a deep desire to hold space so you feel seen, heard, and supported. And sometimes gently (and lovingly) challenged. Therapy with me is honest, sometimes uncomfortable, often funny, but always grounded in compassion.
I work with women, couples, and families who are tired of pretending everything’s fine when it’s clearly not… That means people navigating anxiety, disconnection, burnout, or just feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, are always welcome on my couch.
I take a person-centered approach, which means we build sessions around you. Your story, your values, your goals are all taken into consideration when we’re working together. You set the pace, friend. You're the expert on your life; I’m just here to walk alongside you and ask the hard questions.
Our work together might include deep conversations, unexpected laughs, and a few “wait, what?!” moments. I’ve been told that therapy with me feels like a really good conversation: grounding, validating, occasionally uncomfortable, and often just what you didn’t know you needed.
So, if this sounds like your jam, then let’s do it. I’d love to connect with you. Whether you’re ready to reach out or just exploring, take your time…
I’m ready whenever you are.

Individual Counseling:

Anxiety is like your brain’s overly enthusiastic alarm system—always ready to sound the alert, even when there’s no fire. It can feel like racing thoughts, tight shoulders, and a constant “what if?” soundtrack playing in the background. While it’s normal to feel anxious sometimes, when it starts taking over your life, it’s time to hit the pause button and figure out what’s really going on.
Depression is more than just feeling sad—it’s like trying to move through life with the weight of the world on your chest. It can drain your energy, steal your joy, and make even simple things feel impossible. It’s not a weakness or something you can “snap out of,” but with the right support, you can find your way out of the fog.
Does your mind ever feel like a hamster on a wheel, spinning endlessly with worries? Or maybe life feels like you’re dragging around a weighted blanket you never asked for. Anxiety and depression can be exhausting, but you don’t have to face them alone. Together, we’ll untangle those thoughts, lighten the load, and help you rediscover what it feels like to breathe easy again—because life’s too short to let stress steal the spotlight.
-
Perfectionism is that little voice in your head that insists you can always do more, be more, or fix something that isn’t even broken. It keeps you on a hamster wheel of high standards and self-doubt, leaving you too exhausted to enjoy your accomplishments. It’s not about being perfect—it’s about learning to let go and embrace the beauty of “good enough.”
Are you running a marathon on the treadmill of “not enough”? Does your brain keep shouting, “Just a little better!” no matter how much you accomplish? Perfectionism is a tough crowd to please, but here’s the secret: you don’t have to live like this. We’ll work on loosening the grip of those impossible standards, embracing your messy, beautiful self, and finding joy in the perfectly imperfect moments.

Life transitions are the messy middle chapters of your story—the times when everything feels upside-down, and you’re not quite sure what’s next. Whether it’s a new job, a big move, a relationship change, or something unexpected, these shifts can feel overwhelming. But they’re also opportunities for growth and transformation, even if they don’t feel like it at first.
Life has a funny way of throwing curveballs just when you think you’ve got it all figured out. Whether you’re navigating a new chapter, a big decision, or a What the heck am I doing? moment, I’m here to help you find your footing. Together, we’ll turn the chaos into clarity, tap into your inner resilience, and maybe even laugh a little along the way. You’ve got this—and I’ve got your back.

Military veterans and their families know a life full of sacrifice, strength, and resilience—but also one filled with unique challenges. From deployments to homecomings to navigating civilian life, this journey can feel like a rollercoaster of emotions and adjustments. It’s about finding balance, healing from the tough stuff, and honoring the experiences that make you who you are.
The military life is a unique beast, isn’t it? Whether you’ve served or supported someone who has, you know it’s not all uniform pride and big salutes. From deployments to transitions and everything in between, military life can take a toll. I’m here to help veterans and their families navigate the ups, downs, and curveballs with a mix of understanding, practical tools, and just enough humor to keep things grounded. Let’s work together to build the peace and stability you deserve.

First responders are the real-life superheroes who rush toward danger when others run away. But being a hero comes with its own set of challenges—stress, exhaustion, and the emotional weight of what you see on the job. It’s about finding ways to take care of yourself so you can keep showing up for others without losing yourself in the process.
And let’s be real—saving the day is a lot more glamorous in the movies. The real-life version comes with stress, exhaustion, and a front-row seat to things most people can’t imagine. If you’re feeling the weight of it all, you’re not alone. I specialize in working with first responders to tackle the unique challenges of the job, manage the stress, and protect your mental health. You’re there for everyone else—let’s make sure someone’s here for you, too.
Marriage Counseling:
-
Is your marriage starting to feel like a confusing escape room with no clues? Do your “conversations” end in standoffs over who left the empty milk carton in the fridge? Or maybe you’re just wondering how two people who love each other so much can still miss the communication memo. I help couples who feel stuck, frustrated, or just plain baffled by their relationship. Using proven tools and a little humor (because let’s face it, marriage can be funny sometimes), I’ll help you untangle those tricky dynamics, turn conflict into connection, and rediscover why you said “I do” in the first place. Let’s make your marriage a place where you both feel heard, understood, and maybe even excited to do the dishes together.

The Unbroken Woman’s Retreat
The goal: to remind women that they are inherently worthy, unbroken, and loved, despite the stories they tell themselves.
Women are really good at being really hard on themselves. But those feelings don't come from nowhere, so let's spend a weekend together exploring those feelings and reshaping the stories we tell ourselves... This is an investment in YOU. This isn't your typical retreat - this is The Unbroken Women's retreat.
Prepare yourself for the best mix of luxury and leisure with FOUR days away from all the "noise" of real-life! There will be group sessions aimed to help women break away from the negative stories they tell themselves and dive deep into defining the "soul" of a woman. All sessions will be hosted by licensed therapeutic providers throughout the weekend, plus fun activities like coffee date with retreat therapists, gourmet cooking classes provided by Chef Phil, private massages, and a dessert/pajama party (just like the old days of slumber parties with your bff's).
Reviews
“This retreat was life changing for me. There were some hard moments but the all around support was there. The lodging and food were outstanding. Highly recommend and I will be returning next year.”

“A special weekend away in Broken Bow, filled with connection, vulnerability, and time spent in nature. The retreat was thoughtfully planned, including a guided meditation, vulnerable moments, plant therapy, and incredible food prepared by a personal chef. Although there was a lot of emotional exploration, I left the weekend feeling refreshed and ready to take on whatever life brings. I know I have the best tribe by my side, and I look forward to more retreats!”

“Connection is the energy that is created between people when they feel seen, heard and valued - when they can give and receive without judgment.”
