Upcoming Retreats for 2026
February 12th - 16th, 2026
The Unbroken Couple
The goal: to remind couples that their relationship is the most valuable investment they will ever make, and to give it the time, attention, and care they deserve.
The Unbroken Couple's Retreat is a five-day, immersive experience in Bluff Dale, Texas. Specifically designed to help couples slow down, get honest, you’ll learn relationship tools that actually work. You’ll tackle what’s not working, learn what makes love last, and rewrite the rules that have kept you stuck. We’ll cover Gottman foundations, explore neuropsychology, and create space for play, connection, and healing. Through Gottman-based workshops, lots of laughter, some well-earned R&R, and one unforgettable Valentine’s Day, this is where the real work begins... And, I swear, it’s worth every second.
Prepare yourself for the best mix of luxury and leisure with FOUR days away from all the "noise" of real-life! There will be group sessions aimed to help couples understand each other better. All sessions will be hosted by Emily Swearingen LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), all meals will be prepared by Chinnu Thomas, a private in-home chef, and all add-ons (like photography and materials) are included in your weekend. You don’t have to worry about a thing while you’re at your retreat!
What to Expect
(A.K.A. how to get your partner to say yes without an eye roll)
Expert-Led Couples Workshops based on the Gottman Method AKA: This Isn’t Group Therapy.
No awkward circle-sharing. No kumbaya. The workshops are grounded in the Gottman Method: clear, research-based tools used by millions of real couples (and plenty of skeptics) to communicate better, fight fair, and actually feel heard.Interactive Sessions & Guided Discussions AKA: You Won’t Have to “Perform.”
You and your partner can show up exactly as you are. The sessions are guided and low-pressure. You won’t be put on the spot, and you’re not expected to spill your guts to strangers. Just real conversations that get to the point.A Balance of Structure and Free Time AKA: It’s Not All Talk. There’s Time to Chill.
There’s structure, yes, but there’s also downtime. You’ll have space to relax, breathe, fish, read, or just enjoy a damn good meal without talking about feelings 24/7.Luxury Accommodations and Chef-Prepared Meals AKA: No Planning, No Stress.
Luxury lodging? Handled. Chef-cooked meals? Done. All you both have to do is show up and be open to seeing each other a little differently. It’s the kind of retreat that actually feels like a break.Personalized Retreat Materials AKA: You’ll Leave With Tools, Not Homework.
This isn’t a “feel-good for a weekend” kind of thing. I mean, you’ll definitely be taken care of but we’re not holding hands in a circle around the fire while everyone is crying. You’ll both walk away with tools and materials you’ll actually use, long after you unpack.
Payment plans are available.
Registration is limited to seven couples - this is to maintain confidentiality and intimacy.

What We’re Eating
|
What We’re Eating |

-
All meals are included and will be fully catered, with dietary restrictions and allergies taken into consideration. A complete menu will be uploaded prior to the retreat for those who like to see what they'll be eating; last year's selection included herb roasted chicken, grilled steak sandwiches, and brioche French toast, YUM. The beds are warm and comfy, the area is great for hiking (or relaxing with a book on the couch), and you'll be able to disconnect from the world for a little bit.
We promise there will be lots of laughter, probably some crying, a bunch of great food, and even better emotional connection with other, like-minded women. So, sit down, strap in, and come on!

Everyone is encouraged to pack appropriately, as the weather in Broken Bow can vary during the fall season. You are highly encouraged to bring your favorite snacks, games from home, puzzles or crafts you’ve been wanting to do (but haven’t gotten to yet), books to read during down time, and anything else that feels right to you!
Please also bring open hearts and minds!
